Our beautiful Greek Revival plantation home, built in 1851 in Springfield, is one of the best historic Kentucky bed and breakfasts, so it’s no surprise that we are always hosting fun and elegant events, including adult tea parties, murder mystery dinners, elopements, and more. The park-like setting from the windows of our Inn and thoughtfully restored architectural details inside make our space the ideal location to escape the busy day-to-day.
The next installment of our adult tea parties (though there isn’t an age restriction) is our Christmas Tea. You’ll enjoy holiday flavors, favorite Christmas carols, and great company, all with our festively decorated Maple Hill Manor as your backdrop. It’s the perfect event to break out your fancy hats and holiday sweaters and get all dressed up to relax with your friends and family over sweet treats and warm drinks. Plan to go Christmas shopping before or after!
The best way to enjoy one of our amazing events at our Kentucky bed and breakfast is to make it an overnight or multi-night stay, where you have one of our private guest rooms all to yourself (or with your travel partner). With only seven rooms on our property, you’ll love the spacious feel and have plenty of room to relax and refresh. A gourmet, homecooked breakfast is included each morning of your stay, and it’s the best way to start your day. We can’t wait to host you for tea or an overnight getaway; book your room today!
Adult Tea Parties & Events at our Kentucky Bed and Breakfast
There are so many reasons to celebrate around the holidays; however, as our Kentucky bed and breakfast, we like to find time to offer fun adult tea parties, murder mystery dinners, elopements, and special tours. We love hosting guests for these events, and our property is available to be rented as a whole house buy-out, so if you’ve been looking for a venue in Kentucky to host an upcoming gathering or party.
Here are some of the events we’ve hosted, past and present, at our Kentucky B&B:
- Afternoon Tea Parties: We love hosting an elegant afternoon tea party with sweet treats, a large selection of teas, and entertainment. For example, at our last tea party, we partnered with local boutique Shaq & Coco so you could browse their styles as you sipped your chamomile. We’ll continue hosting adult tea parties and fun events next year, so reach out for more details.
- Murder Mystery Dinners: Our immersive Murder Mystery Dinner Parties provide a unique and engaging experience for groups of 10 to 20 guests. Participants can choose from a variety of themes. Past favorites include a Victorian mystery, Hollywood glamor, Pirate treasure, and more. The event includes a five-course dinner served in the manor’s formal dining room, with non-alcoholic beverages provided (guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic drinks.) The dinner party typically lasts about three hours and is conducted during the meal—this is a fun way to celebrate a birthday, family reunion, or just a weekend getaway with friends.
- Christmas Teas & Open House: We love to decorate during the holidays! Our Christmas Afternoon Teas are the perfect way to enjoy the festive season, celebrate with our loved ones, and sing along to our favorite holiday tunes.
- Five-Course Dinner Add-On: For the first time, we’re offering dinner service at the Inn for overnight guests of Maple Hill. This will be offered on select dates only, and for advance bookings, it’s only $35 per person for a five-course gourmet meal with a non-alcoholic beverage. You are welcome to bring your own wine; we have extra glassware! Call us for dates and details.
- Elopements & Vow Renewals: Our Kentucky bed and breakfast is an elegant and intimate setting for elopements and vow renewals; we can accommodate up to 25 guests. Our all-inclusive package is reasonably priced and includes hosting the event, officiant services, a wedding cake, and a sparkling beverage toast. Depending on the time of year, we have various locations for ceremonies, including our historic parlor, grand staircase, and outdoor settings like the garden gazebo, all set against the backdrop of their scenic farm.
