SPINGFIELD, KY – Todd Allen, Co-Owner/Co-Innkeeper of 1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor Bed & Breakfast in Springfield, KY was recently chosen to be an Advisory Council and Board Member of the Professional Association of Innkeeper’s International. This is the first time a Kentucky Innkeeper has been appointed to the Board of the National Association, which represents the 25,000+ Bed & Breakfast Industry in the United States. Allen will be one of only 12 Innkeepers in the U.S. that make up the distinguished Board.

The Professional Association of Innkeeper’s International’s mandate is to provide education, information, networking, advocacy, business opportunities and research relating to the innkeeping industry. PAII provides continuing education programs in many formats, the largest being the annual Innkeeping Conference & Tradeshow, interactive Webinars; and weekly and monthly e-newsletters; Innkeeping Quarterly (IQ), the industry’s only magazine exclusively serving the needs of the professional innkeeping community.

Todd Allen and partner, Tyler Horton, have owned and operated 1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor Bed & Breakfast since October 2001. They have overseen the complete restoration of the historic Manor, attained national acclaim with awards and national media attention, and been actively engaged with community involvement and association leadership. They incorporated the Alpaca and Llama Farm and Fiber Farm Store, which features nearly 50 head of champion bloodlines, the only Purely Suri breeding program of both Alpacas and Llamas in Kentucky, and farm store offering Kentucky Proud garments and gift items made from the luxury Alpaca Fiber produced on their farm. Allen currently serves as President of the Bed & Breakfast Association of Kentucky, President of the Central Kentucky Agritourism Association, and past president of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
