Best 1 Place To Stay When Touring Maker’s Mark Distillery

What hotels are near Makers Mark Distillery?

That’s a great question!  You have decided to check out the Bourbon Trail, and the classic Marker’s Mark is at the top of your list.  But where do you stay when you have a tour booked at Maker’s Mark Distillery?  What is the best 1 place to stay when touring Maker’s Mark Distillery?  First, I want to share with you the Bourbon Trail is over 70 miles long, spread all over Central Kentucky.  There is no single spot you could stay and see it all.  Heck, there is no way you are going to see the entire Bourbon Trail in one trip.  So, the best plan of attack is to select the distilleries you really want to visit and find a centralized place to stay based on those distillery locations.

A tour at Maker’s Mark Distillery is a must.  The history alone with worth the tour.  Even if you are not a huge Bourbon Fan (don’t worry, your secret is safe with us!) the grounds and buildings at Maker’s Mark are Instagram worthy!   There is a garden, new farm tours, creek, pathways, and the cafe is open again.  #maplehillmanor #makersmark

So back to touring Maker’s Mark.  It is located in Loretto, Kentucky.  There is virtually nothing there, except Maker’s Mark.  And be prepared, all of the roads leading to Maker’s Mark are winding and narrow.  There is no “quick” way to Maker’s.   Maker’s Mark Distillery is 17 miles South of Bardstown, the Bourbon Capital of the World.  Maple Hill Manor Bed and Breakfast is just 13 miles from Maker’s.  There are also a couple of economy chain hotels in Springfield and Lebanon (both on the way to Maker’s) as another lodging option.  But of course we prefer you stay at Maple Hill Manor, the best place to stay when you book your Makers Mark Tour!

As you can see, there are no hotels next to or near Maker’s Mark Distillery.  But, you can stay at the Historic Maple Hill Manor not too far away!  You will also be treated to a homemade dessert in the evening (some of the desserts in the past have been Hummingbird Cake, Blueberry Cake with Lemon Cream cheese frosting or Bourbon Butterscotch Pudding), and a made-from-scratch breakfast each morning during your stay.  Sample breakfasts have been Bacon Corn griddle cakes, Baked Eggs, Buttermilk Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Cranberry and Orange Scones, Maple Pecan French Toast Bake, Cheese Fried Grit Cakes topped with a Corn Relish, Scrambled eggs with Cherry Tomato, fresh basil and Parmesan, Cherry Cheesecake French Toast Bake, seasoned hashbrowns, local bacon or sausage, and fresh fruit.  How good does that sound?

Not to mention, the setting at Maple Hill Manor is hard to beat.  Sit out on the patio next to the firepit after a long day of bourbon tours, especially a tour at Makers Mark!  Nap in the hammocks, pet the horses or have your morning coffee in the garden gazebo.  Did I mention we are surrounded by thousands of acres of farm land?  Yeah, it’s pretty relaxing up here.  We just don’t think you are going to get the same experience at a hotel in town.  Oh, I almost forgot to mention, yes, all of the rooms have a private bathroom.  🙂

So there you have it, the Best 1 place to stay when touring Maker’s Mark Distillery!  Come check us out, we just might have rooms available on your selected dates!
